Posted: 11:00 AM- BOSTON -- Jazz forward Carlos Boozer took part in the majority of Tuesday's practice here at Emerson College, but is doubtful to play in Wednesday's game against the New Jersey Nets, according to the team.
Boozer has missed 14 games with the strained left quadriceps tendon he suffered Nov. 19. Andrei Kirilenko, meanwhile, did not practice with a strained muscle in his upper back and is a game-time decision to play against the Nets. Paul Millsap will continue to start as long as Boozer remains out.
Millsap scored a career-high 32 points against Kevin Garnett in Monday's loss to the Celtics and has posted 12 consecutive double-doubles.
Although Millsap is likely to return to the bench when Boozer returns, Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said he would try to find increased minutes for Millsap, including possibly playing him at small forward.
The Nets are coming off a 94-87 victory Monday at Toronto that snapped a three-game losing streak. They drilled the Jazz 105-88 on Nov. 29 at EnergySolutions Arena.
