New Jersey Nets Notes, Quotes 2008-11-20

New Jersey Nets Notes, Quotes 2008-11-20
--Forward Ryan Anderson entered Tuesday as the league's leading

three-point shooter, hitting at .667 accuracy on 10-of-15, including

6-of-6 in the two victories against Atlanta over the weekend. Anderson

credits the passing of Vince Carter and Devin Harris for his success.

"It's too easy. Too easy. It's a great way to play. I'm spotting

up on the three-point line, and my shot's felt real good lately," said

Anderson, a rookie forward who was the Nets' second pick on first

round. "Vince is getting everybody open. And Devin is passing it.

Those guys are demanding so much attention now withy their scoring

ability you can't help but get open shots."

Anderson missed his only three-pointer Tuesday in a 106-82 wipeout

by Cleveland.

--The Nets insist they eventually will move to Brooklyn with their

new arena as the centerpiece for the Atlantic Yards development. And

the centerpiece of the arena, many speculate, might be LeBron James.

The speculation about James has run rampant since the Nets positioned

themselves for cap space in 2010, when James could become a free

agent. But the Nets would be one team among a long list of suitors --

even if their partial owner, rapper Jay-Z, is a close friend of James.

"You hear so much about it that you can't avoid it. It gets funny

at times," James said before Tuesday's game in New Jersey. "I'm

focused on the team I'm on now and winning a championship. I don't

think about making a change at this point. I don't know if it (move)

is still in the works. I don't have an investment in the team. I

haven't talked to Jay-Z about it."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Defensively, we just have to be better. We gave up

the paint, LeBron (James) pretty much got to the basket at will. And

then when we did step up on him, he found the open shooters and they

got hot." -- Guard Devin Harris, explaining the Nets' defensive

failings in their 24-point loss to the Cavs Tuesday.
