--In one of the more confounding promotions in memory, the Nets were marketing their 10-game losing streak against the Pacers Tuesday. The Nets had a special "10 is Enough" night where they called on fans to support the team while offering selected seats for $10. Additionally, all season-ticket holders received two tickets to bring friends and family to the game. "Your team has played very hard this season, but with an unprecedented amount of injuries we just haven't been able to attain a victory," Nets CEO Brett Yormark said in a statement. "But even with the injuries, the entire team believes that '10 is Enough.' Bring your enthusiasm, show your support, and let's get our first win."
The moved didn't get a win -- but it produced an announced crowd of 11,332.
--The Nets' 11-game losing streak is their longest since they dropped the final 11 games of the 1999-2000 season. The team record is 16, set in 1977-78. They play in Milwaukee on Wednesday and then are home to the woeful Knicks on Saturday before they head out West for their annual Thanksgiving week trip.
A loss in Milwaukee would give the Nets their longest losing streak since a 14-game skid in 1989-90.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "My numbers don't matter if we're losing because you're labeled as a loser. It doesn't matter what you're doing on a losing team, nobody really cares." -- F Chris Douglas-Roberts, when asked about his first career double-double that had career highs in points and rebounds in the Nets' 11th straight defeat.
