ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard Vince Carter, Small forward Bobby Simmons, Power forward Yi Jianlian, Center Josh Boone. Bench -- Forward Jarvis Hayes, Forward Ryan Anderson, Center Brook Lopez, Guard Keyon Dooling, Guard Chris Douglas-Roberts, Forward Eduardo Najera.
PLAYER NOTES: --F Eduardo Najera (sore left wrist) returned to contact practice Friday, his first such session since Oct. 9. He was activated for the game against the Warriors on Saturday because coach Lawrence Frank wanted him for his familiarity with Don Nelson's schemes (Najera played for Nelson in Dallas). Najera played five minutes and scored two points, and he was one of 11 players used.
--C Josh Boone admitted he was one of the guys whom coach Lawrence Frank accused of hanging his head during some rough third-quarter play Saturday. But Boone responded well and scored 10 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter when the Nets rallied from 19 points down to within five. And along the way, Boone established a career high with nine offensive rebounds. He had 14 total.
--F Yi Jianlian made his Nets home debut Saturday, and it wasn't pretty. After a solid season-opening game Wednesday, Yi shot a dismal 0-of-4 and was scoreless in 18 minutes. "It's going to happen. You're not going to make every shot in the game," Yi said. "I don't care. It's finished. I've (got) to keep moving. I've got the next game. It was the first (home) game of a long season. We've got to play 82 games: If your shot is not very good, you've got to do other things to help."
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Trenton Hassell (viral infection) missed his second game Nov. 1 and is out indefinitely. He was originally diagnosed as suffering from an inner ear infection, but the team changed its assessment.
--F Stromile Swift (bruised lower back) has been inactive since taking a nasty fall in practice on Oct. 17. There is no word on when he will return.
--G Vince Carter banged the middle knuckle on his left hand and went for X-rays during Saturday's game. They were negative.
