ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard
Vince Carter, Small forward Bobby Simmons, Power forward Yi Jianlian, Center Brook Lopez. Bench -- Guard Keyon Dooling, Forward Jarvis
Hayes, Forward Ryan Anderson, Center Sean Williams.
PLAYER NOTES:
--G Devin Harris failed in his attempt to score 30 points in a
fourth straight game. Harris, who had games of 38, 30 and 33, managed
23 points against the Cavs Tuesday. He was halfway there by halftime
with 15 points, but the Cavs packed the lane when the Nets shot 32
percent in the second half. "Some guys were struggling, struggling
from the outside and they tend to suck in a little bit more, so it's
hard to get in there," said Harris.
--C Brook Lopez recorded the first double-double of his career
when he scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against Cleveland
Tuesday before fouling out. The achievement was of little solace to
Lopez, as the Nets lost by 24. "I would sacrifice that double-double
for a win any day," Lopez said.
--G Vince Carter suffered through by far his lowest scoring output
this season when he scored 12 points, shooting 3-of-12 Tuesday against
Cleveland. "Just a rough night. I missed shots, couldn't make a
lay-up. So I just wanted to make plays and get guys who were really
going, going," said Carter who passed for six assists.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Chris Douglas-Roberts remains out with a sprained right knee.
He already has missed nearly two weeks and could be out for up to two
more.
--F Stromile Swift (bruised lower back) has been inactive since
taking a nasty fall in practice on Oct. 17. He has returned to
non-contact practice and now says he could be returning within a week.
--F Eduardo Najera, who missed virtually all of pre-season with a
wrist ailment and then was just gaining his conditioning, has been out
with a strained neck and sore lower back. He's day-to-day.
--C Josh Boone is hobbled by a left ankle bone bruise. He sat his
third straight game Tuesday and it is uncertain when he'll be back as
he remains "in a lot of pain," according to coach Lawrence Frank.
Boone, though, is shooting for the weekend.
