ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard Vince Carter, Small forward Bobby Simmons, Power forward Yi Jianlian, Center Brook Lopez. Bench -- Guard Keyon Dooling, Forward Ryan Anderson, Forward Bobby Simmons, Center Josh Boone, Forward Jarvis Hayes, Forward Trenton Hassell. PLAYER NOTES:
--G Devin Harris hit the first game-winning, at-the-buzzer shot of his life Tuesday in Indiana. He had a chance for a second one Saturday in Charlotte but his 19-footer was off. Harris didn't care, as the Nets moved on to win in overtime, although he wished they saved themselves some aggravation. "We have to close out games when we have the opportunity. Overtime isn't (where) we want to spend a lot of time in, especially when we're up (late)," he said.
--F Bobby Simmons was back in the starting lineup in Charlotte on Saturday after coming off the bench for the first time this season Friday. Simmons had been away from practice and games for a week, dealing with a shoulder injury and the birth of his daughter. "He had missed seven days, no practice time. I didn't think it would be right," coach Lawrence Frank explained of his Friday decision. Simmons scored seven points in 21 minutes against the Bobcats.
--G Vince Carter may be the one Net who has maintained the most positive outlook all season. He sees the disparity in the road and home records but maintains it will all come together -- at both places. "We have our mental lapses at home and on the road, but if we continue to do the job as a unit, stick together as a unit, whatever building we play in, it becomes a habit. We have moments that we look like the Nets team we feel we are," said Carter, who scored 28 points in Saturday's win.
