--G Devin Harris scored 16 points and passed for six assists Sunday in the loss to the Lakers as the Nets played the night that coach Lawrence Frank was fired. Harris called for more effort on a team-wide basis. "We have to have better habits as a team, play better defense. If we don't change the habits, it doesn't matter who the coach is," Harris said.
--G Courtney Lee who had played a total of 36 minutes in three games back from an absence of seven games due to a strained groin, played 26-plus minutes against the Lakers Sunday and scored 15 points, his highest total since Oct. 31 when he scored 17 at Washington in the third game.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Eduardo Najera is out indefinitely with a sore lower back. He has missed seven games and did not accompany the Nets on their western trip.
--F Yi Jianlian is out with a sprained right knee. He could resume practice next week.
--F Jarvis Hayes remains out indefinitely since straining his hamstring in the season opener.
--G Keyon Dooling (hip surgery rehab) underwent an arthroscopic procedure after last season. His return has been delayed until early December.
--F/C Tony Battie worked out with the team in Sacramento. He is aiming to return to active duty this week.
