New Jersey Nets Roster Report 2009-12-14

New Jersey Nets Roster Report 2009-12-14ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard Courtney Lee, Small forward Chris Douglas-Roberts, Power forward Josh Boone, Center Brook Lopez. Bench -- Guard Keyon Dooling, Guard Rafer Alston, Forward Terrence Williams, Center Sean Williams, Forward Bobby Simmons, Forward Eduardo Najera, Forward Trenton Hassell.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Chris Douglas-Roberts was admittedly relieved to learn a left knee sprain was diagnosed as mild and he will be out day-to-day. The Nets' second best scorer, Douglas-Roberts missed 12 games last season with a sprained right knee. He claimed he will play Tuesday in Cleveland.

--G Devin Harris played Sunday in Atlanta despite a sprained left pinkie suffered Friday in Indiana, where he was unable to finish the game. Harris said the joint is not as swollen as it was but is still sore and "I can't bend it all the way." Harris looked fine against the Hawks, excelling on pick-and-rolls and scoring 23 points.

--F Eduardo Najera played Sunday after missing 13 games with a sore lower back. Najera play 14 minutes and scored three points -- on a three-pointer. "I feel pretty good. I'm a little weak, but I'm working on it," he said.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Chris Douglas-Roberts suffered a mild sprained left knee Friday and sat Sunday. The Nets sent him for an MRI and listed him as day-to-day. Douglas-Roberts said he hopes to play Tuesday.

--G Keyon Dooling sat a second straight game Sunday with sore hip flexors. He is expected to play Tuesday in Cleveland.

--F/C Tony Battie has a strained right groin that forced him to sit Sunday. He's day-to-day.

--F Yi Jianlian, out since Nov. 2 with a sprained right knee, was set to return as early as Sunday. But he suffered a 50-stitch gash in his upper lip and should be later this week.

--F Jarvis Hayes remains out indefinitely since suffering a hamstring injury in the season opener. He says he'll be out until after Christmas.
