New Jersey Nets Roster Report 2009-02-19
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard Vince Carter, Small forward Trenton Hassell, Power forward Ryan Anderson, Center Brook Lopez. Bench -- Guard Keyon Dooling, Center Josh Boone, Forward Jarvis Hayes, Forward Yi Jianlian.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Devin Harris knew he would have a handful from Jason Kidd. And he got it Wednesday in Dallas. Harris had torched Kidd for 41 points in December in New Jersey. Kidd led the Mavs' 113-98 romp Wednesday with 23 points and 10 assists while making 5-of-6 three-pointers.

"You knew he was going to have a little extra in the tank," Harris said.

--F Jarvis Hayes, who was coming off a 1-of-6 shooting nightmare in Houston, was enjoying a prefect night: 6-of-6 from the floor, 2-of-2 from the line for 15 points. Then he went for a loose ball and sprained his left thumb in the fourth quarter. X-rays were negative and he hopes to play Friday.

--G Vince Carter insists all the trade talk has not bothered him, but he had one of his worst halves ever Wednesday night, the day before the trading deadline. Carter scored 15 points -- all in the first half. After halftime, Carter was scoreless and shot 0-of-9.

"My mind will not let this type of thing bother me," Carter said of the rumors.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Jarvis Hayes suffered a sprained left thumb Wednesday and is day-to-day for Friday.

--F Eduardo Najera remained out with what the team is calling a right lower abdominal strain. Najera, though, fears he may have suffered a hernia and might require surgery. He said he will rest for another week.
