ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard Vince Carter, Small forward Trenton Hassell, Power forward Yi Jianlian, Center Brook Lopez. Bench -- Guard Keyon Dooling, Forward Jarvis Hayes, Forward Bobby Simmons, Center Sean Williams.
PLAYER NOTES: --G Devin Harris recorded his 10th double-double of the season Sunday when he scored 26 points and passed for a season-high 14 assists. And while the 26 point were impressive, they paled compared to Harris' two previous games: 39 against Philly, when he hit a half-court shot to win, and then 42 against the Bulls, when he scored 19 points in the fourth quarter.
--F/C Sean Williams continues to impress in his second-chance shot at the rotation. Williams had four points, six rebounds and three blocks Sunday against the Hornets as part of a bizarre season that has seen him in the rotation, out of the rotation, sent down the D-League. But with the Nets crying for energy off the bench, they turned to him again. "I really feel like I can help this team," Williams said. "I'm just trying to make the best out of opportunities given and try and prove (coach Lawrence Frank) right for giving me this chance."
--F Stromile Swift was waived Sunday night after appearing in only six games all season due to a variety of injuries and personal problems. The move likely means the Nets will focus on Luther Head, who was waived by the Rockets Saturday and would fill their third point guard need.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Eduardo Najera remained out with what the team is calling a right lower abdominal strain. Najera fears he may have suffered a hernia and might require surgery but he has begun very light workouts. He will be re-evaluated Monday.
--G Keyon Dooling sat Sunday with a sore right hip that is afflicted with a slight case of arthritis. He is day-to-day but the Nets hope to have him Tuesday at Milwaukee.
