New Jersey Nets Roster Report 2009-03-04
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard Vince Carter, Small forward Trenton Hassell, Power forward Yi Jianlian, Center Brook Lopez. Bench -- Guard Keyon Dooling, Forward Jarvis Hayes, Forward Bobby Simmons, Center Sean Williams.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Devin Harris gave the Nets something else to worry about. Harris struggled through an off night and complained of shortness of breath. "I have exercise-induced asthma but I've never had an episode like this," said Harris who still notched a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists, despite shooting 3-of-14.

--C Brook Lopez recorded the 13th double-double of his rookie season, getting 24 points and 12 rebounds in the Nets' 99-95 victory in Milwaukee. That left him two shy of tying Mike Gminski's rookie record of 15 in 1980-81. Also, Lopez became the Nets' all-time leading rookie shot blocker when he swatted three shots for a total of 114, one more than Kenyon Martin in 2000-01.

--F Ryan Anderson had fallen out of the rotation again. For two games, Anderson was a spectator. But then he was summoned in Milwaukee and he responded in a big way, with 13 points in 13 minutes off the bench. "Ryan Anderson was a game-changer," coach Lawrence Frank said.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Eduardo Najera remained out with what the team is calling a right lower abdominal strain. Najera was examined in Milwaukee by doctors who felt surgery was not necessary and said he could increase his workout regimen. It's unclear when he could return.
