ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Devin Harris, Shooting guard Vince Carter, Small forward Richard Jefferson, Power forward Nenad Krstic, Center Josh Boone. Bench -- Guard Marcus Williams, Forward Bostjan Nachbar, Center DeSagana Diop, Guard/forward Trenton Hassell, Forward Sean Williams.
PLAYER NOTES: --G Vince Carter had his eighth straight game of 20 or more points Friday at Indiana when he scored 33 but he has been doing far more than scoring lately. He had a season high 14 rebounds in his previous game. And he insists he is just taking a "whatever it takes" approach since the trade of Jason Kidd.
"It's doing whatever needs to be done. For me, we all have to go beyond the call of duty. That's been my approach to it since we've had this new situation," he said.
--C Josh Boone would like to play against Indiana all the time, especially in late March. On Wednesday, Mar. 26, Boone posted his career high of 26 points against the Pacers. That eclipsed his former total of 22 -- which he amassed against the Pacers last season, on Mar. 28. So Friday, Mar. 28, 2008, Boone had 15 points and 16 rebounds in Indiana.
--F Richard Jefferson, who on Wednesday moved past Stephon Marbury (1,640 in 1999-00) and John Williamson (1,643 in 1978-79) for the most points in a single season by a Net, jumped over Ray Williams (1,674 in 1981-82) on Friday when he scored 19 points in Indiana. Jefferson now has 1,675 this season, the eighth-best total ever. Mike Newlin had the seventh-best season (1,688 in 1980-81). Vince Carter set the standard last season with 2,070 points.
--G Devin Harris established a career high -- again -- when he scored 27 points at Indiana Friday. Harris had a career-high 15 assists in his previous game. And six games ago, he had set his career scoring high of 26 points against Atlanta.
