PBA Legends look forward to date with NBA heroes
Even grown men can be as excited as boys with the thought of coming face to face with their real life heroes.Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Legends Alvin Patrimonio, Allan Caidic, Kenneth Duremdes, Ronnie Magsanoc, and Benjie Paras who all saw action in the PBA from the late 80’s to the early 2000’s are thrilled about the thought of sharing the hard court with National Basketball Association stars whom they have watched “from afar” on TV in their NBA exploits “It’s an honor to be part of a sporting spectacle like this. To be able to play competitive Basketball at this point in my life against NBA Legends spanning different generationsis truly a dream come true. (Kareem Abdul) Jabbar, (Tim) Hardaway and (Robert) Horry are superstars whom I only see on TV.

Just the thought of being on the same court and playing Basketball with them excites me no end,” said Magsanoc, one of the PBA’s Top 25 Players of All Time.“I am sure that Basketball crazy Filipinos are as excited as we are to witness a once in a lifetime Basketball eventlike this one,” added Four-Time MVP Patrimonio.“We are going to make Basketball history,” chimed in Paras, the local pro league’s only Rookie-MVP who has successfully crossed over tothe field of entertainment but who remains physically fit and activein the game that honored him as The Tower of Power. On September 11, NBA Legends led by Hardaway, Horry, Vlade Divac, and Dominique Wilkins will descend on the Araneta Coliseum and play alongside six NBA D-League players to form the “ NBA Generations” team coached by Rory White and NBA icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
