In season opener vs. Yale, became the 12th freshman under Jim Calhoun to start the season opener.

Lived in New York City as a kid growing up before moving to Maryland when he was 10… Has two half sisters, Desiree and Melinda… Enjoys playing video games in his spare time, and would like to possibly help create and design video games when his playing career is over… Cites “Madden” as the video game at which he is best, but is looking forward to playing as himself when the new NBA video games come out… Played football in high school where he was both a wide receiver and cornerback, but stopped playing because he was too tall… Lists “Independence Day” and “Saw” as his two favorite movies … Michael Jordan was his favorite basketball player growing up.
